Job Purpose

To operate the weighbridge accurately, collect and process all cash/cheque/banks transfer received from external source at the operational depot


Your activities will include:

·         Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the depot by weighing their load and recording data accurately

·         Providing all appropriate paperwork and carry out the necessary admin work to complete the process

·         Recording and calculating inputs and outputs, producing weighbridge tickets

·         Liaising with customers including and acting as first point of contact for a customer to resolve any issues/problems (being front of house)

·         Maintaining and develop an effective relationship with all customers

·         Deal with all incoming telephone calls

·         Provide all customers with the correct scrap prices

·         Liaise with other team members within the operational depot and keep a steady flow of traffic moving within the operational depot

·         To make any appropriate weight deductions from loads following communication from the operational depot

·         To ensure the weight of all good received at the depot are verified, together with the appropriate metal grade

·         Processing delivery notes timely and in accordance to EMRs polices

·         To carry out all necessary paperwork and ad hoc admin support for the operational depot

·         To distribute all incoming post / mail on the same morning it is received at the operational depot, together with franking of all external mail on a daily basis

·         Produce corresponding documentation with EMRs internal IT system

·         Scan various documents into the internal EMRs systems

·         To deal with drivers and processing transactions and ensure that all changes and transactions are recorded for future reference

·         To arrange calibration of the weighbridge regularly to ensure accurate weighing

·         Enhancing the relationship with our customers with good customer care (front of house)

·         To liaise with customers on any cash/cheque/bank transfer to pay the ticket out ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed

·         To maintain an up to date filling system in relation to the operational depot management system and its ticket transactions

·         De-registration of vehicles

·         Environmental Agency waste tickets





·         Computer literate

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Have the ability to work within a busy environment ensuring the highest standard of accuracy within their work
