Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident statistics, trends, and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to educate employees on safe work practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to deliver training sessions and interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
