Job Description:

Inbound Customer Service Representative 

Temporary to permanent opportunities to join an outsourcing call centre, supporting one of the UK’s largest retailer. Our client is happy for candidates to operate remotely once they are fully trained which is held on-site (4-6 weeks training).  Own IT equipment required, role is subject to passing a DBS check

Paid weekly (£9.50 per hour) holidays are accrued on a weekly basis

Full time – option to work either 37.5 or 40 hours a week

You will primarily be involved in supporting customers via multi-channels; inbound calls, emails & live chats (full training provided)

Person Specification:

  • Flexible in terms of shifts – working 5 days out of 7 between the hours of 8am – 9pm 

  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written), including strong spelling and grammar skills

  • Ability to remain focused and effective in a high paced and high stress environmen

  • Strong IT, keyboard and use of the internet skills required

  • Committed to delivery of a consistently high quality of service to the customer

  • Self-motivated with an aptitude for maintaining enthusiasm and focus

  • Good team player/self-awareness and focus on self-development

  • A natural flair for striking rapport with others, excellent listening skills

  • Advanced influencing and negotiating abilities

  • Motivated by reaching targets

  • Able to analyse and match the product to the customer’s needs

  • Demonstrates a high level of ethical behaviour and will not compromise on integrity

IT Requirements

  • A Windows PC/Laptop that is running Windows 8 or above, with a minimum of 2GB RAM


  • An Apple Mac or MacBook that is running on MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) or above, with a minimum of 2GB RAM

  • 1 free USB 2.0 port for use with a USB headset or a suitable handsfree headset

  • In all cases a minimum of 5Mbps internet speed is required

  • Webcam is required during training & one-to-ones 

  • A USB Mouse would be recommended (but not essential)

  • Netbooks, Chromebook or Cloudbooks are NOT compatible
