Recruit right are looking for an experienced Operations Team Leader to oversee production and take first line responsibility for people management.
They will report to the Business Unit Manager and coordinates with other shift leaders to avoid downtime and to meet production schedules. The role is based on a double days shift pattern, and site based.
The successful candidate will:
Supervise the activity of production operators
Interact with departmental managers to coordinate production requirements and staff scheduling
Complete tool changes and oversees the work of Tool Setters on shift
Work with leaders of other departments to ensure the seamless transition of material, parts, and product through to despatch
Maintain internal requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment
Lead by example and line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while fostering a proactive work culture
Essential requirements:
Experience managing teams of production operators in a busy environment
Knowledge and experience of engineering principles such as fault finding, route cause analysis or similar
The following would be desirable but not essential:
Experience in rubber injection or compression moulding
Experience in a similar manufacturing environment
Knowledge or qualification in 5S and similar production improvement techniques
Qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing As well as joining a people focussed multi-national organisation,
