Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their Technical Team.
Our client is a well-established catering business based in Irlam.
Main responsibilities:
Prepare and make changes to the factory Quality & Food Safety System, and carry out audits as required
Ensuring that quality, safety, and legality is met at every stage of the process
Ensure appropriate assessments are carried out on raw materials, finished products and semi-finished products
Advise and consult with all relevant parties concerning safety, legality, and quality issues
Provide technical support throughout the site
Process raw material complaints and liaise with suppliers to resolve related technical problems
Process customer complaints and liaise to resolve issues relating to quality
To liaise with Production Managers and the Management Team regarding the preparation, improvement, and effectiveness of hygiene procedures
Escort and assist with external body communications or site visits
Manage pest control activities for site
To deputise for the Technical Manager as necessary
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, or related subject
Minimum 2 years in a Quality or technical position
Level 3 in Food Safety and Level 3 HACCP
Good verbal and written communication
Knowledge of food legislation, and related quality procedures
Computer literacy
Knowledge and experience of Organoleptic techniques and assessments of raw material
