Recruit Right are looking for a FLT/Yard person for our client in the Blackburn area.
Responsibilities will include:
Loading and unloading of natural roofing slates onto/off vehicles
Moving stock to storage areas
Picking & packing of natural slate
Ensure products are clearly labelled for the yard and when being despatched to customers
Checking customer collections
Keeping work areas clean and tidy - always complying with health & safety policy and procedure
Managing monthly / annual stock takes
Access to Company van for local delivery & collections when needed
You will be on your feet all day, lifting heavy slates; a good level of fitness is a must
Requirements to be part of the team:
Counter balanced forklift certified
Current valid, clean driving licence
Literacy & numeracy understood to a good level
Computer literate - desirable
Experience working within a Builders Merchants is an advantage, although full training will be provided for the right applicant
You will be an enthusiastic, reliable, accurate, approachable, flexible & responsible person with a proactive attitude
Team oriented and able to work on your own initiative
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Salary: £11.50 per hour
