A total of 75 production staff have been placed in work in the past fortnight by the company’s industrial division – all of them local labour and taken on by a Wirral-based manufacturing business.
Recruit Right director Helen Cornah said: “When we chose to move our headquarters to Birkenhead last month, it was done as part of our commitment to help boost the skills and employability of a local labour force.
“It was a big, bold decision to make but one which is already proving to be the right one. Placing so many people in jobs in such a short space of time is a massive shot in the arm for the local economy and makes us even more confident of our plans to get local people into work.
“This is our first ‘high street’ operation on Wirral and puts us in pole position to continue to supply skilled staff as the ambitious regeneration plans for Birkenhead begin to take shape.
“Multi-million pound projects with an estimated 3,000 new jobs have a target figure of 60 per cent local labour to tackle the area’s skills gaps. Our vision is to be a major player in the success of these projects by equipping them with the right workforce.”
As well as the 75 job placements, Recruit Right have two people working on-site with the client to support them with issues such as Right to Work, lateness interviews, inductions, holidays and liaising with Health and Safety personnel along with a specific account manager and resourcer based in the Argyle Street office.
Helen added: “Due to a big client win for the manufacturing company, we were commissioned to hire staff for them through our industrial division. The high volume of people recruited shows the confidence the company – one of our regular clients – places in us and gives us an excellent flying start to the year.”
