Recruit Right are recruiting on behalf of their client for a dedicated and ambitious HR Assistant.
As part of the Human Resources team this role is to assist the Human Resources Manager in managing the transactional/administration requirements of the HR Department in an effective and efficient manner.
This post will require a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HR processes/procedures, possess excellent administrative and organisation skills; and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Rate of pay: £11 per hour.
This is a temporary position. Contract will be for a three- or four-month term to cover.
Key Responsibilities:
A range of administrative duties to ensure all HR tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with SLAs
Assisting the HR Manager with recruitment, including placing advertisements, recording, and managing applications, and arranging interviews
Preparation and issuing of offer letters, contracts of employment and induction paperwork
Assisting the HR Manager with disciplinary, grievance, conciliation, and mediation meetings, ensuring that investigations and any actions, disciplinary or otherwise, are properly conducted, documented, and recorded
To support the continuous development of the policies and procedures of the Company to reflect current employment law, ensuring all HR issues are handled in a professional manner and in accordance with legal and company requirements
Attendance at and travel to all Company sites as required
Person specification:
Demonstrable experience in a similar role and/or part CIPD qualified
A thorough knowledge of HR administration requirements and HR processes
Strong, clear, effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills
Analytical approach with excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management and organisational skills
The ability to understand and translate company policies and procedures
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with tact and diplomacy
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT literacy with the ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Educated to A level or equivalent in a relevant subject
Full, clean driving license
Contract length: 3/4 months
