Recruit Right are recruiting on behalf of their client for a dedicated and ambitious HR Assistant.

As part of the Human Resources team this role is to assist the Human Resources Manager in managing the transactional/administration requirements of the HR Department in an effective and efficient manner.

This post will require a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HR processes/procedures, possess excellent administrative and organisation skills; and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Rate of pay: £11 per hour.

This is a temporary position. Contract will be for a three- or four-month term to cover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A range of administrative duties to ensure all HR tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with SLAs

  • Assisting the HR Manager with recruitment, including placing advertisements, recording, and managing applications, and arranging interviews

  • Preparation and issuing of offer letters, contracts of employment and induction paperwork

  • Assisting the HR Manager with disciplinary, grievance, conciliation, and mediation meetings, ensuring that investigations and any actions, disciplinary or otherwise, are properly conducted, documented, and recorded

  • To support the continuous development of the policies and procedures of the Company to reflect current employment law, ensuring all HR issues are handled in a professional manner and in accordance with legal and company requirements

  • Attendance at and travel to all Company sites as required

Person specification:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role and/or part CIPD qualified

  • A thorough knowledge of HR administration requirements and HR processes

  • Strong, clear, effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Analytical approach with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • The ability to understand and translate company policies and procedures

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with tact and diplomacy

  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT literacy with the ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Educated to A level or equivalent in a relevant subject

  • Full, clean driving license
