We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to work with a client in West Derby. This is a temporary for 3 months. This is a generalist HR Role HR role which provides full HR guidance. 

Hybrid – 3 days home / 2 days office 

Main Responsibilities:

  • To role model our behaviours and values.

  • To provide general HR advice and guidance including advice to staff and line managers on terms and conditions, standard HR policies and procedures whilst promoting best practice.

  • To manage a portfolio of HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, probation, restructuring and reorganisations and ill health issues, providing employment advice and practical support to managers as required.

  • As part of the HR Team, to take collective responsibility for working alongside HR colleagues on day to day HR activities and key initiatives, such Engagement, L&D / HR Administration, Performance Management, Policy development and Management, Inclusion, Talent Management and Succession Planning.

  • To build strong business relationships with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally (e.g. with our recognised Trade Union internally and external suppliers / partners).

  • To give appropriate attention to continuous professional development, attending seminars, conferences and other relevant learning events as appropriate.

  • To work with the HR team on continuously improving on what we do and how we do it.

  • Assist and support in recruitment and selection activities for various levels and areas within the organisation

Essential Skills: 

  • Relevant experience in Human Resources (HR).

  • A sound knowledge of the current legislation associated with HR.

  • Able to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations.

  • Able to manage an ER / HR caseload including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

  • Able to communicate effectively, (clearly, concisely, accurately and with confidence) with individuals and groups of people both internally and externally.

  • Educated to Degree standard or equivalent

  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 or 7 or equivalent experience)
